MAX PAPIS’ STRONG RUN GOES UP IN SMOKE; MARTINSVILLE NEXT

Concord, NC (October 17, 2009) – Savoring the opportunity to sleep in their own beds, Max Papis and the GEICO Racing team arrived at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on Thursday in hopes of qualifying for Saturday night’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.  A week ago in Fontana, Papis and the #13 GEICO Toyota Camry notched their best qualifying effort of the season when they started 15th.

Fontana, CA (October 11, 2009) – Coming off of a good run at Kansas Speedway a week ago, Max Papis and the GEICO team were looking to make continued improvement when they arrived in Fontana, CA.  Kansas marked the second consecutive race where they would be forced to start in the 43rd position.  This was a trend they were looking to change.

PAPIS IMPRESSES IN KANSAS; GECKO IS HEADED WEST

Kansas City, KS (October 4, 2009) – Arriving at Kansas Speedway with qualifying on his mind and his dad in his heart, GEICO driver Max Papis aimed at continuing his improvement on oval tracks.  While he has recorded an 18th place finish at Talladega and a qualifying effort of 22nd at Darlington, his season highlights have occurred on road courses, where he recorded a 12th place finish at Sonoma and an 8th at Watkins Glen.
