Action Express Racing burst onto the sports car scene in 2010 winning the prestigious Rolex 24 At Daytona in the new team’s first ever race. The organization was born of opportunity when Brumos Racing consolidated to one Daytona Prototype car for the 2010 season. Action Express team owner and long-time Brumos associate, Bob Johnson, decided to continue the existing team with a leased  Riley chassis paired with a Porsche V-8 Cayenne by Lozano Brothers Porting.

At the start of the 2011 racing season, Max raced for Action Express Racing in the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona, co-driving with Christian Fittipaldi, Terry Borcheller,  Joao Barbosa and JC France to a great 3rd position finish.
